Pearse O’Donohue is the Head of Unit E2, Software & Services, Cloud Computing, European Commission. Prior to this he was Head of Cabinet of Vice President Neelie Kroes at European Commission. Pearse O’Donohue was responsible for the development and implementation of policies for efficient spectrum use and a coordinated approach to frequency management in the EU.

Jacqui was recognised in 2016 as one of the 100 most powerful UK entrepreneurs .After implementing a banking regulatory change programme with Web 3.0 tools she co-founded FlyingBinary a web science company which changes the world with data, one of the original 250 Tech City companies. She is a high profile mentor in Tech City, working with Founders specifically to accelerate their technology and funding options for growth. An appointment for the third year as an Independent Ministerial Advisor in Cabinet Office of H.M.

On 24 February 2014, following his designation by the United States Department of Justice, Michael C. Olmsted was appointed Liaison Prosecutor for the USA at Eurojust. He is Senior Counsel for the European Union and International Criminal Matters at the United States Mission to the European Union.
 

Christian Borggreen is Director of International Policy in the Brussels office of the Computer & Communications Industry Association.  He leads CCIA’s work on international trade and Internet governance and engagement with international institutions such as the WTO, ITU, and the OECD.

Kuan Hon, MA (Cantab), LLM (UPenn), MSc (Imperial), LLM (Queen Mary), is research consultant to the Cloud Legal Project and Microsoft Cloud Computing Research Centre (a collaboration with the University of Cambridge Computer Lab) at the Centre for Commercial Law Studies, Queen Mary University of London, where she is undertaking a joint law and computer science PhD. She is also a lawyer with Pinsent Masons, the law firm behind technology-focused thought leadership site Out-Law.

Arthur van der Wees is managing director of international law firm Arthur’s Legal, with its headquarters in Amsterdam.

César Alonso-Iriarte is principal policy officer for the fight against cybercrime in DG Migration and Home Affairs of the European Commission. His team develops policies to better fight cybercrime through EU legislation, funding and coordination of different actors. Mr Alonso Iriarte is a Spanish lawyer and has been active in policy-making within the Commission since 1997. Since 2008 he has been working in the fight against sexual exploitation of children, child pornography and cybercrime.

David Blundell has over 15 years experience in the IT industry and has specialised in Cloud Computing for the last five of those.  An expert in customising OpenStack, David has lead the development of a reliable and automated IaaS platform at 100 Percent IT that is now being extended with Trusted Computing to provide provably secure, auditable encryption in a virtual environment in partnership with the University of Oxford.

Massimo Felici is a Research Engineer in the Security and Manageability Lab at Hewlett Packard Enterprise. He received a PhD in Informatics from the University of Edinburgh. His main research interests are concerned with accountability, security, privacy, trust, risk and assurance aspects of cloud computing infrastructures.

Vasilis Tountopoulos is the Deputy Head and responsible for the Technical Implementation in the ATC Innovation Lab. He received the diploma in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Patras in 2000, and the PhD degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA) in 2005. He has been involved in EU R&D and National funded projects in ATC and, previously, as a research associate, in the Telecommunications Systems and Computer Networks Laboratories of the ICCS/NTUA.

Dr. Carmen Fernandez-Gago is a researcher at the University of Malaga. She holds a PhD in Computer Science from the University of Liverpool (United Kingdom), where she also worked as a postdoctoral researcher. In January 2006 she joined the NICS lab at the department of Computer Science of the University of Málaga where she works since then. Her main research interests are in the area of trust and reputation management systems and cloud computing.

Paolo Balboni (Ph.D.) is a top tier European ICT, Privacy & Data Protection lawyer and serves as Data Protection Officer (DPO) for multinational companies.

Chris Gow is Head of EU Public Policy for Cisco’s Government Affairs team, responsible for engagements with the EU institutions in Brussels.  He leads globally in the team on privacy policy and within Europe on security.  He joined Cisco in early 2008 and beyond privacy and security, plays an active role on spectrum, cloud and IoT policy.  Chris is currently the Chair of DIGITAL EUROPE’s Privacy and Security Group and Vice-Chair of the Digital Enterprise Policy Group.  DIGITAL EUROPE is the main European industry association for tech manufacturers in Brussels.

Dave Robertson is Chair of Applied Logic and Dean of Special Projects in Science & Engineering at the University of Edinburgh (previously he was Head of School of Informatics at the University).  His computing research is on formal methods for coordination and knowledge sharing in distributed, open systems using ubiquitous internet and mobile infrastructures - the goal being to develop theories, languages and tools that out-perform conventional software engineering approaches in these arenas.  

Marnix works in the CISO team of the European Commission, focusing on network and information security strategy, governance, IT strategy, IT architecture, etc.

Until recently Marnix worked at the EU's Network and Information Security Agency, ENISA. At ENISA I was leading the work on cloud security and EU-wide security breach reporting (Article 13a of the Framework directive, Article 4 of the e-Privacy directive, Article 19 of the eTrust regulation, Article 14 of the proposed NIS directive). He also worked on smartphone security, app store security and HTML5 security.

Mark is Director EU Institutional Relations, Microsoft and was previously Senior Policy Counsel in the Microsoft Law and Corporate Affairs department in Europe. Mark works on legislative and government policy issues relating to cloud computing, interoperability, and intellectual property across Europe. 

Prof David Wallom is Associate Professor and Associate Director ­Innovation of the Oxford e-Research Centre, where he leads two different research groups, Energy & Environmental ICT and Advanced e-Infrastructure & Cloud Computing. He has had over 40 research projects in areas such as Cloud Computing e-Infastructue, Cloud utilisation, Smart Energy Grids, Research data management, Green IT, ICT security and institutional repositories.

Elena Bonfiglioli leads the Health Industry business for Microsoft in Europe, Middle East, and Africa and she is a part of the World Wide Public Sector Health Team.  In this role, she is responsible for driving strategy and business development, partnerships, and positioning for the region across public health, social services, providers, and payers in the cure and care markets. Elena oversees a community of 50 professionals across the EMEA market.
